All thanks to almighty God for His infinite mercy and protection over us, and for making this session a successful one.
Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician, and educator developed a method of teaching based on her scientific observation of young children’s behavior. She found children learned best in a home-like environment filled with developmentally appropriate materials that provide experiences, which contribute to the growth of self – motivated independent learners. At Sun and Stars Montessori school, our main purpose is to provide a stimulating environment that enables our learners to develop an excellent foundation for creative learning.
All over the world where Montessori system of education is being practiced, they see their children as moral beings, which over time would become socially responsible people and they see their children becoming confident, competent learners. The Montessori method develops the whole personality of the child not merely his intellectual faculties but also his deliberation, initiative, and independence, with their emotional complements. This same success is what we wait to achieve in our children.
At SSMS, we believe every child is unique in the sight of God, and therefore as custodians, they are treated as unique individuals; each having his/her own potentials. Through our team of educators and the Montessori system of education, our learners develop a positive attitude toward school, each child develops self-confidence, builds a habit of concentration and curiosity because opportunities to discover qualities, dimensions, and relationships amidst a rich variety of stimulating learning situations are available to them.
Our philosophy is based on love and respect for each child.
As we come to the end of yet another successful session, we cannot but appreciate and acknowledge everyone that is connected to us from teaching, administrative and support staff, our parents and all well-wishers, in terms of contributions towards sun and star Montessori school academic excellence as well as extracurricular activities.
